My tribute to one of the best Spanish sportsman of history if not the best. An example of dedication, overcoming and behavior. He is a spanish professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born to Marisa Sáez and Agustí Gasol, and he spent his childhood in Spain. Gasol was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2001 NBA Draft, but his rights were traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, with whom he won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He also won the citizenship award and currently holds the Memphis Grizzlies franchise records for career games played, minutes played, field goals made and attempted, free throws made and attempted, offensive, defensive, and total rebounds, blocked shots, turnovers, and points. After seven seasons with the team, Gasol was traded to the Lakers on February 1, 2008. His younger brother, Marc Gasol, who was involved in that trade, is also a professional basketball player for the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA.
Take a look at this face because we are going to kick some asses in London 2012!
This is truly outstanding! I've seen quite a few portraits done in my day and I can say that with this piece, you've been placed in my category of absolutely exceptional. What drew me into this portrait was the light effect you've given it. It really reaches out to you and sucks you right in. That along with the sheer amount of detail you've placed into drawing his hair alone. You've also managed to make the light bounce off his body as it would if taken by a regular camera.
I can't say I find anything wrong with this portrait at all. in fact I would find it difficult to differentiate between this and a camera filter. You cover all aspects of a great portrait here: depth, lighting, and the inspiration that made you draw it. Kudos, I hope you plan to continue furthering your skills as an artist whether it be a drawing or a hobby.
Simply amazing! It's so real that it seems to be a picture not a drawing.
Also I have to say that the description isn't accurate at all when you say that "His younger brother, Marc Gasol" because he has a younger brother called Adrià Gasol that was born in 1994 and is playing actually in a High School I think.
