Thank you for sharing this piece of art. You have captured the wonderful expressions of owls perfectely in this shot - I always feel they have just a little distain for us humans. The details are just breathing taking. I especially like that slightly out of place feather on the right side owlet where the feather is shedding ready for adult plummage. The detail in the talons is also exquiste especially those delicate feathers, it is also a reminder these sometimes comical looking birds are indeed deadly hunters and extremely intelligent.
Again have thoroughly enjoyed viewing this work and has brought back memories of seeing the real thing actually hunting from a disused barn in the UK that had not been converted into a house!!
Have not seen an owl in NZ but, I believe, they do have one. We are lucky enough, however, to see hunting hawks on a daily basis.
Thanks again for a thought provoking, memory jogging piece of great art.
