Lovely drawing! you really did a great job with the values and the texture of the fur... was just thinking, it would be great if you could credit the photo you drew this from. Quick google search says: [link] looks like it was originally taken by a fella named Gary Kramer, of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. It's probably equally as important that you credit the photo for the drawing you've entered in the contest (if not more important, since you stand to actually gain something if you win). [link] looks like it was originally taken by Daniel J. Cox, at Naturalexposures.com can't hurt, right?
Totally agree! The pictures were awesome and I don't mind at all to put credit references when I know the author as I did wiht PictureByPali and Steve McCurry. They deserved the credit gained for sure! Thanks for your input, very appreciate it! Description corrected.
Oh, no problem. I've gotten myself into trouble before (out of ignorance, every time) with giving credit and what's copying and what isn't and blah blah blah. some folks are really mean about it, too. They just assume you're out to rip off the photographer or something. o.o You seemed like a nice person, and a professional-grade artist, so I didn't wanna see you end up in the same boat. :} thanks for not being offended by my suggestions!
Don't worry at all! I know what you mean. On the contrary, what I love about deviantart is that good members always help one another learn and give you the right tips. I'm only a self taught amateur that enjoys what he does and I hope to choose the right boat. Thank you very much for comment and being kind. Cheers!
